The game has several challenging boss fights. The main enemy is a villain unique to this game called the Dhaka. The player spends several parts of the game running away from him. The final fight against him is very challenging. It is one of the best boss fights in the Prince of Persia franchise. A few areas in this game have very challenging puzzle solving elements. The puzzles are designed in a very traditional manner. The player may need to turn switches in a certain direction or move through an area in a specific manner.

The visuals in this game are very good. The developers spent a lot of time adding ornate details to each area. The music is also great. The heavy rock tracks add to the exciting nature of the game play. There are no extra game play modes, but this game takes a fairly long time to fully complete. There are also two different endings based around how many extra goals the player completes in the game. Both endings also feature a different final boss fight.
